NOTICE: ALDOT informed us on Tuesday 10/28/2014 that the bid process on the Depot Rehabilitation was possibly invalidated by failure to publish a public notice by the Mobile Press Register (see attached). There should have been notice published in one local and three statewide newspapers and the Decatur Daily, Huntsville Times, and Birmingham News all complied.
Decatur can rescind the bid awarding of 10/20/2014, rebid and republish the invitation to bid in the four newspapers; approving the winning bid at the December 2, 2014 meeting.

Central Avenue Road Closure begins Oct. 6, 2014. Decatur Public Works will replace the drainage structure on Central Avenue just south of Conan Garden St SW. This will require a complete closure with the traffic on Central Avenue being diverted using Lenwood Rd. and Poole Valley Rd. We expect this to take up to 60 days for completion.

Thursday 11/27 - No garbage or recycling pick up
Friday 11/28 - No garbage pick up. Recycling will pick up Thursday's route Friday instead.
Monday 12/1 - For those residents with garbage pick up normally scheduled for Thurs. or Fri. and for those whose recycling was scheduled for Friday, please place your carts out on Monday, Dec. 1. No yard carts and limited loader service.
