Hexcel to increase investment, add 88 jobs

Hexcel Corp. announced today plans to increase its planned $161 million expansion to $199.4 million, officials said.
The total expansion will add 88 employees with average wages, not including benefits, of $50,000 per year.
Hexcel will add a polyacrylonitrile line and its first carbonization line to the existing plant.
The Decatur City Council, the Morgan County Commission and the Industrial Development Board all approved tax abatements for the expansion this morning.
