Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position performs basic accounting functions under the direction of the City Clerk in support of the city’s financial operations. Duties will include data validation, account and deposit auditing functions, and assisting internal and external customers.
Requirements: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service; Must be proficient with computers, including Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel and Adobe. Knowledge of GASB and GAAP highly desirable.
