Holiday recycling Pickup

When a holiday falls on your regularly scheduled recycling pickup day, it is generally rescheduled for the following day, with the exception of Friday's which will be rescheduled for the following Monday. Below is a list of upcoming holidays. If you have questions regarding your service, please contact the Recycling department at (256) 341-4770 or 341-4772.

 

2011 City Holidays - Offices Closed
Monday, November 11 - Veterans Day No changes in recycling service
Thursday-Friday, November 24-25 - Thanksgiving If your regularly scheduled pick up is Thursday, Nov. 24, your recycling will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 25.

If your regularly scheduled pick up is Friday, Nov. 25, your recycling will be picked up on Monday, Nov. 28.
Sunday, December 25 - Christmas Day
(Offices closed Monday, December 26, for holiday.)		 No changes in recycling service
2012 City Holidays - Offices Closed
Sunday, January 1 - New Year's Day
(Offices closed Monday, January 2, for holiday.)		 No changes in recycling service
Monday, January 15 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day No changes in recycling service
Monday, May 28 – Memorial Day No changes in recycling service
