Mayor: Don Kyle
A Letter from the Mayor
Welcome to the City of Decatur. With a diverse economic base and a strong community spirit, Decatur is known for hospitality, quality schools, safe neighborhoods, and outstanding recreation venues. A continuing surge in retail facilities is making Decatur a destination for many shoppers from out of town, and, along with numerous industrial expansions, has created many new jobs for our citizens. As you explore this web site further, you'll find information on services and facilities, key personnel for each department, forms and schedules, and much more. To help you locate what you need quickly, the site is arranged under the headings: doing business in Decatur, living and working, and playing. You are also only a click away from details about each department. Many links to other local agencies and events are provided for your convenience.
At City Hall, our goal is to continually improve the services we provide our citizens and visitors. We welcome your suggestions and hope you will feel free to contact any of our officials or department heads at any time you think we can help you. We want your experience to be as positive as you could expect from a grand city on a charming scale. Thank you for visiting with us. We are happy to be of service to you.
