REDEMPTION FEES AND TICKET SYSTEM

Upon redemption of an impounded animal, the owner shall pay applicable charges of $8.00 for the first day and an additional $6.00 every day thereafter. If the owner cannot show proof of a valid rabies vaccination, a $9.00 fee will also be charged to cover that cost. If an animal is picked up after hours, there will be an additional $40.00 fee to defray overtime costs. If the animal is not claimed by its owner within a seven-day period, the animal will be euthanized or placed for adoption depending on its health and well-being.
